There is only one thing more precious than our time and that is who we spend it on, So when you are no longer walking this earth your photographs together are how you are remembered. Spend some time as a family, document these moments and proudly display them in your home for generations to come to enjoy.
Let me capture your child's silly faces, their bubbly personality and your love for one another. During our session together we will go on an adventure, exploring the local landscape and letting the children do their thing.

WHAT'S THE BOOKING PROCESS?
Once I've received your enquiry I will give you a call to find out more about you as a family, and we can discuss a location that represents you and your family best. At this time we can also schedule your pre session consultation where I can come to your home and we talk about your investment options and find out what final products are going to serve you best. While at your home we can discuss wall placement, I'll take some photos of your walls or mantle place and even take a look at your wardrobe options for the session if you need a hand with styling. From there we will confirm your location, date and time and get your booking confirmed.
I'VE BOOKED, NOW WHAT?
That's awesome! Shortly after booking confirmation you will receive your wardrobe guide to help you refer to when deciding what you and your family will wear for the shoot. When you have a combination of outfits in mind feel free to send me a photo if you'd like a second opinion.
I'll give you a call leading up to the shoot to confirm, locations, timings and hopefully talk about how excited you are for the shoot! At this point we will have already scheduled your post photoshoot viewing session and we will confirm this too.
On the shoot day all you need to do is turn up ready to have fun and create some lovely memories with your family. Don't be worried about the kids misbehaving or running a muck, I will give them lots of opportunities to be themselves and I will be sure to give them ample time to play and have fun while I document the session! These photos are always my favourite and why I love lifestyle photography so much.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
It's best to allow for up to an hour for your family adventure session, this takes into account a snack break for little ones and some downtime before getting back into the second half of the session. Some families like to change a few items of clothing or add to it with additional layers and accessories and this is the perfect time to do so. With this in mind all families are different and have different needs, so simply allow an hour to an hour and a half for your session with me.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION?
After our photography session, we will get together a week or so later for your viewing session. At the viewing, you will settle down with a drink and some snacks, view all the images from your shoot as a slideshow, review them again and choose which images you'd like to purchase.
I like to think of this viewing session as a wee date night. Organise to have the kids looked after, go out for dinner afterward and make an evening out of it, you deserve it!
WHEN WILL MY PRODUCTS ARRIVE?
Once you decide and pay for your products at the viewing session your order will be made that day. You can expect a turn around time of 6-8 weeks, allowing for your frames to be handmade, your prints matted and your album to be handmade by my professional lab of choice.
Once the products are ready to delivery I will get in touch to organise a time to deliver them myself to your home or place of work. I believe that working alongside you from start to finish through the whole process to finally displaying your wall art is part for the exceptional Nicole Paton Photography service therefore I also offer an in home installation service. If this is something you require please don't hesitate to reach out.
What can i expect to invest?
Every booking requires a $690 sitting fee, this secures your session date and is non-refundable.
All products options available to purchase at your viewing session are detailed on the products page.
All print and wall art purchases come with matching digital files to share with family and friends.

A $200 booking fee + any hair and makeup fee is required to secure your session and is non-refundable. All packages are inclusive of GST. Locations outside of Auckland CBD may have an additional travel fee.

Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Auckland, New Zealand and yes I'll totally travel for your shoot! If you want me to photograph your story and you're out of town I charge a travel fee but not to worry. I always try to keep costs reasonable because I love the opportunity to shoot in a new place and see more of our beautiful country and abroad.
How do you photograph our story?
My job doesn't start the morning of your portrait session. Right from our first phone call I will ask you about you, your family, your partner what is important to you and how you see your images being used or displayed after your photography session. I work hard to get an idea for how you want to be remembered, what you value, and work towards that goal as I shoot.
I believe that a good relationship is essential for you to be able to open up during our photo session so I'm known to grab a drink or two with you or arrange extra video calls for those of you out of town. All the prep work makes the final portrait session a breeze, you're comfortable with me, I'm having a blast, and the photos show the genuine emotions I'm know for capturing.
When will we get our photographs/products?
After our session together we will have already arranged our viewing appointment for a week following your session. This is such an exciting time for you, you get to come to my home (or I can come to yours!) I will pop on a slideshow, have some snacks and drinks ready and we can view your images for the first time together. You pick your favourites and how you want to display them and I will guide you through this with mock ups made with custom images of your home. After this appointment I will place your wall art and album order and the turn around time for these products is 6-8 weeks.
Do I get the digital files from my shoot?
Yes, my Family and Portrait sessions include the option to purchase printed products. Once you have made your selection of any images you have chosen to print, you will receive the corresponding digital file. For example, if you purchase my 'Gallery Frame' 30x30" framed print with your favourite nine images matted and framed, you will receive the web resolutions files of those 9 images to share on social media and with family.
Way to Pay? Afterpay!
Yes, we offer Afterpay and depending on your use of Afterpay you can spend from $500 up to $1500 with split payments during your consultation session with me.
Afterpay allows you to purchase in four installments, due every 2 weeks. For example, if you purchase an item for $200, you pay 4 installments of $50. Alternatively, if your purchase is $4000 you can pay up to $1500 with Afterpay and the balance settled with me.
There is no additional cost to use Afterpay as long as you pay on time. All of your payments are interest free, and you will receive your order confirmation right away.
